Tokoo Pricing Explained: What's Free Forever vs Starter, Growth and Pro

Tokoo's plans in plain terms: what Free includes permanently, what Starter/Growth/Pro unlock, and why the split is "open a store and take orders free, pay for marketing and scale."

Tokoo's pricing follows one rule: opening a store and taking orders is free, permanently — the paid tiers exist for merchants who need more capacity or a more polished, branded checkout, not to gate the basics of running a shop.

Prices shown are the standard monthly rate. Committing to a 12-month term drops the per-month price by roughly 40%, and a 24-month term by roughly 50% — for example, Starter runs RM49.99/mo month-to-month but RM24.99/mo on a 24-month term.

What's actually gated, and what isn't

It's a short list. Only four things sit behind a paid plan: an online payment gateway, a custom domain, per-product SEO with Google Shopping structured data, and the option to hide the "Powered by Tokoo" badge. Everything else that makes a store actually work — WhatsApp ordering, the block editor and theme designer, coupons, multi-location inventory, customer accounts, order management, per-store SEO — is included on Free.

Where the plans actually differ

Growth and Pro aren't feature-exclusive today

Starter, Growth and Pro all unlock the same four gated features. Growth and Pro exist purely for stores that need more product capacity and more staff seats than Starter allows.

Trying a paid plan before committing

Tokoo also runs an invite-code system: a code redeemed at /redeem grants a time-limited trial of a paid tier stacked on top of a merchant's existing plan, useful for testing whether Starter's gateway and custom domain are worth the upgrade before paying for it.

Frequently asked questions

Is Tokoo's Free plan really free forever?+

Yes. No credit card is required, and it includes a fully working store: WhatsApp ordering, the block editor, up to 20 products with multi-location inventory, coupons, and customer accounts. There's no trial period that expires.

What do I actually get by upgrading from Free to Starter?+

A higher product limit (200 vs 20), more staff seats (3 vs 1), more image storage, and the four gated features: an online payment gateway, a custom domain, per-product SEO with Google Shopping data, and the option to hide the "Powered by Tokoo" badge.

What's the difference between Growth and Pro?+

Capacity only, today: Growth allows up to 1,000 products and 5 staff seats; Pro is unlimited on both. Both include everything Starter unlocks.

Does paying for a longer term save money?+

Yes. Committing to 12 months cuts the monthly rate by roughly 40%, and 24 months by roughly 50%, compared to paying month-to-month.
