Pre-orders: collect shipping when the goods arrive

Group orders and pre-orders often can't know the shipping cost on the day someone orders. With "Charge shipping later", buyers pay only for the item at checkout and give their delivery address. When the goods arrive you send each buyer their shipping fee, linked to their original order.

   Mark the product as a pre-order

   Open the product in Products. Under Shipping cost, choose "Charge shipping later (pre-order)" and save. The product page now shows a Pre-order label and a note that shipping is charged when it arrives.

   Buyers check out without paying shipping

   At checkout the buyer fills in their delivery address as usual, but no courier is quoted and shipping shows "Paid later". They pay the item price with any of your payment methods. Pre-order items can't be in the same order as items that ship right away — the checkout asks the buyer to place them separately.

   Confirm the item payment

   The order arrives like any other, with a "Shipping charged later" label. Check the payment and set the order to Confirmed, as usual.

   When the goods arrive, request shipping

   Open the order. Under Payment requests the form is ready: the label says "Shipping (EMS + local postage)". Tap "Get courier rates" to see what local delivery to the buyer's address costs and tap Use to fill it in — then add the international part (such as EMS) yourself. Or just type the total. Add a message if you like, then Send request.

   The buyer pays from their own link

   We email the buyer a pay link. You can also tap "Copy pay link" or "Send on WhatsApp". The link only works for this one request on this order; it isn't listed anywhere in your store, so no one else will pay it by mistake. The buyer pays by bank transfer / e-wallet and uploads a receipt, or online if you have a payment gateway. They also see it under My orders.

   Check the receipt and mark it paid

   When a receipt comes in, the request shows "Receipt to check". Check your bank, then tap "Mark as paid". Online payments are marked paid automatically. Now book the courier or add the tracking number and ship.
